Self Care Starts with Listening

After a couple of long weekends of eating too much, drinking too much and overall being a bit too indulgent my body has started to fight back.


And I have decided it is time to LISTEN!


This is how I have started my day -

  • Sparkling Water (soda stream) with two slices and a squeeze of Lemon
  • Hibiscus Tea - I love this tea so much and haven't had any for a few weeks (lazy me) but I have brewed a pot - I use loose leaves.  I had two small tea cups of this hot this morning while having my water.
  • Diffusing Essential Oils - I chose the Eco Modern Essentials Digestive blend, which I also have in a roller with coconut oil to apply to my stomach.
  • Smoothie - This was a new recipe for me!  Banana, Kiwi Fruit, Cup of Frozen Raspberries, Two cubes of frozen Spinach, tablespoon of Chia Seeds and water.  It was a very ugly colour but wow.. soo yum.  
  • Then a Walk out in the Sun with my camera in the garden.  I took the photo above and then had some photoshop fun to grunge it up!


My body is thankful already for the action I have taken after listening to what it NEEDED!


To continue on today's journey of listening to myself I am going to do a very light yoga stretch session, just a quick 10 minutes to move the body.  Then grab a book, and curl up and read for a little while before some time on some projects I am working on.
